Teeth that are Cracking and Crumbling are a Potential Symptom of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

GERD is a chronic disorder that involves stomach acid backing up in the esophagus and then the acid may travel up to the mouth. Once in the mouth the stomach acid can eat away at the teeth and leave the enamel thin and translucent. If not resolved it can continue to eat away at the teeth leaving severe damage.
